Compare the same quoted price in three formats. A conversion changes the notation, while implied probability describes the price rather than the actual chance of an event.

After editing an input, calculate again to see the updated result.

Formula and worked example

Implied probability = 100 ÷ decimal odds. Fractional profit odds = decimal odds − 1. Fractional conversions may be rounded for display.

Decimal odds of 2.50 equal fractional odds of 3/2 and American odds of +150. The implied probability is 40%. A settled winning GHS 10 single would return GHS 25 including the stake, before any applicable deductions.

What the calculation means

Implied probability is derived from quoted odds, not an independent estimate of a sporting event’s actual probability.

Load an example, then select Calculate. These hypothetical inputs remain editable before calculation.

  • 2.50 = 3/2 = +150; implied probability 40%.

  • −200 = 1.50 = 1/2; implied probability about 66.67%.

  • 7/4 = 2.75 = +175; implied probability about 36.36%.

These are equivalent price formats, not three estimates of an event. The implied percentage comes from the quoted price; it does not establish the true chance. Round displayed percentages only after completing the calculation.
